Homework
Our school's homework policy is that aside from reading, no homework will be assigned. On certain nights, 4th grade students will be expected to read a book of their choice. On other nights, your child may be expected to read either science or social studies content that relates to the topics that we are currently studying.
Also, there is a difference between studying and homework. Your child will still be expected to study as needed. This might include studying for a spelling test, practicing math multiplication facts, reviewing a lesson that they struggled with, etc. Our students are still expected to take responsibility for their own learning.
If your child is absent or misses a class for any reason, they will be expected to make up the missed work at home. Making up missed work is not that same as being assigned homework.
